BACKGROUND

Azur Technology, a growing tech company, had a leadership team with a strong foundation of trust. With ambitious growth plans, they wanted to identify the tools and techniques needed to support them in having more challenging conversations.

OUR APPROACH

To understand the team’s dynamics, strengths, and development areas, we conducted interviews with all leadership team members. These insights were shared with Executive sponsors and the wider team to develop tailored objectives for a team intervention.

ADDING VALUE

We designed an intervention using psychological theories and models to provide a common language and framework for discussing challenging topics like conflict and different working styles. This approach aimed to enhance team communication and effectiveness.

OUTCOME

The intervention allowed the team to address previously avoided conversations, leveraging their foundation of trust to unlock additional potential. By deep diving into individual and team behavioural patterns, they were able to uncover some blind spots, and identify what needs to be different to allow them to continue to evolve as a team, as they grow as a business.

CONCLUSION

Whilst there are many common models and theories for effective team working, how these are applied in context requires empathy and insight. Taking the time to understand the challenges and strengths of the team enabled us to apply the principles of behavioural science to focus on the conversations that were most needed, to deliver the impact Azur wanted.
